This year the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival (21st January to 25th January,2016) has a new offer for booklovers. One can meet the famous authors, important delegates, writers, journalists, politicians, Bollywood celebrities and break bread with them over lunch and also get a entry to the evening musical soirees, but all for a nifty sum of Rs 12,000. Called the Friend of the Festival, this special delegate pass is a new addition to Jaipur’s most famous literary festival.
While the festival is completely free and open to all, booklovers who are genuinely interested to interact with the literary heavyweights but often miss the chance due to overcrowding at the popular fest, can now spend some premium afternoons with their favourite celebrity at the Diggi Palace over the five days. There are early bird discount till Nov 1.
So if you wish to celebrate literature with your favourite author, secure the early bird discount and get the delegate pass and you may just get to meet legendary Margaret Atwood, poet, novelist, literary critic, essayist, and environmental activist; Ruskin Bond, beloved to generations of Indian readers; Steve McCurry-one of the world’s greatest living photographers; controversial Harvard historian Niall Ferguson or Britain’s national treasure Stephen Fry.
So be there!
