Jaipur, Nov 30: Jaipurites can look forward to more comfort while travelling in and out of this buzzing city. Be it the railway station or airport. Both the venues are trying to provide a cleaner and greener experience for the passengers.
Pink CIty’s railway station has put in place the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) display Clean my Coach and Cab services for the travellers.
The 70 inch NTES display screen has been installed in front of main entrance of the station and will provide information about the trains on real time basis i.e about arrival and departure of trains in a gap of four hours each.
Passengers can now use Clean my Coach app or website to request railway housekeeping staff for a clean up of their coach. Passengers would have to type CLEAN, space, PNR NUMBER and send the message to 58888.
The other special facility includes ‘Book a Cab and Coolie” from the official portal, 12 hours before the journey.
Passenger Amrit Mathur said : “The initiatives are good but whether the implementation would be as good as the ideas is something to ponder on.”
While the Sanganer International Airport at Jaipur in a first of its kind initiative has put in place a 24-hour mapping system that will help the authorities provide its passengers a cleaner air in the next few months. Two equipment respirable dust sampler and fine particulate sampler have been installed at Terminal 2 of the airport. The particulate matter sampler would measure the properties such as mass concentration or chemical composition of particulate in the ambient air.
The dust sampler is installed with an oilless vacuum pump. Planes as well as surroundings would be subjected to test.
