Maharana Pratap Battalion soon

Rajasthan will soon have a Indian Reserve Battalion named after Maharana Pratap. The battalion will be known as Maharana Pratap India Reserve Battalion. This announcement was made by Union home minister Rajnath Singh on the occasion of 476th birth anniversary of the legendary ruler of Mewar, Maharana Pratap.
The move comes in the wake of the Cabinet in January this year approving a proposal for raising 17 Indian Reserve Battalions for Jammu and Kashmir and Left-Wing Extremism (LWE) affected states.
Singh also announced a new Global Counter Terrorism Centre at the Sardar Patel Police University in Jodhpur.
