Jaipur, Dec 22: Environment friendly public bicycle sharing scheme has been introduced in Jaipur.
Under the smart city project, the Jaipur Smart City Limited (JSCL) has started the services at two locations namely Jawahar Circle and Ramniwas Bagh. The facility is likely to be extended to 20 other locations across the city in a phased manner.
From these two docks , residents and tourists can rent a bicycle between 6:30 am to 7 pm . The JSML has developed two cycle stations wih 40 cycles in them. At every station, at least 20 cycles would be available on rent. Users would have to pay Rs 10 per hour.
As per the security guidelines, the rental facility will be provided after proper identification of the user. The interested commuters would have to download an app at the station before renting a cycle. The location of the user would be traced by a software at the control room.
