Jaipur, Dec 22: Health Minister Kali Charan Saraf has appealed to the striking doctors to return to work.
This came a day after removal of additional health director Girish Parashar, which was being demanded by the doctors.
Saraf claimed majority of the demands of the doctors have been fulfilled by the state government as per the November agreement with doctors who had gone on strike then too.
But he reiterated that government would not bow down to pressure tactics being used by the doctors.
On Wednesday late, the government had amended the Rajasthan Health and Medical Service Rules, 1960 to meet one of the demands of the striking doctors. Accordingly for the first time, medical officers promoted under Dynamic Assured Career Progression (DACP), during July,2011, to March 31, 2014, period were allowed actual pay and allowances from date of promotion as one time exception.
However, despite requests from the government, the striking doctors did not report for work and the stir continued to cripple health services in the state.
