Jaipur, March 27: A massive fire engulfed a marriage garden located at one of the city’s main locality today afternoon around 2 pm.
The fire first caught the makeshift tents and then spread to other decorative items inside the garden. Major portion of the garden turned to ashes in minutes,” according to a fire offcial.
The fire first took place at Mysore Mahal garden and was quickly brought under control when at least 12 fire tenders were pressed into service. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained but a gas leak may have caused the massive blaze.
A fibre-made decorative dome, wooden furniture like chairs along with decorative sheets were also destroyed in the fire,” the official said.
As black smoke engulfed the nearby areas, panic spread in the locality. It was one of the most premium and expensive marriage gardens in the area.
The huge fire however, did not cause any casualty.
This is the second time in recent months that a marriage garden has been gutted completely.
