Jaipur, March 29: Students around the country are protesting over the inefficiency of the CBSE, who despite knowing the paper leak, went ahead with the examination as per schedule.
Students, who would have to take the re-examination, are unhappy and angry that they would again have to go through the grind for no fault of theirs.
As student protests erupted in Jantar Mantar in Delhi today, children here inb Rajasthan say it would be sheer wastage of time, hard work if they again have to sit for the re-exam.
Many say they did not see the question paper on WhatsApp, so what is their fault, they did not know the questions, so why should suffer.
At least 20 lakh students would be affected by CBSE’s decision to conduct the retest of Class X Maths and Class XII Economics subjects.
CBSE conducted Class 10 Mathematics paper on Wednesday where nearly 16.38 lakh students appeared. In the Economics paper held on Monday, a total of 11,86,306 students have registered for the Class 12 examination, the exact figure on how many sat for the Economics exam — a compulsory subject — was not available.
Two cases have been registered till now and SIT has been formed for investigation. A total of 25 people have been questioned so far but there have been no arrests till now. 11 school children, seven college, five tutors and two private persons have been questioned till now.” Both the papers were leaked on WhatsApp a day before the exam.
The owner of the coaching centre in west Delhi, who is a Delhi University passout, who teaches mathematics and economics is one of the main suspects, said an official privy to the probe.
