Night tourism gains momentum in Rajasthan

Jaipur, 19 April.  Rajasthan is all set to woo tourists with a mesmerizing night tourism experience. The focus is on cultural activities  on forts and museums to make every visitor experience the true colors of the culture and history of Rajasthan.

Director of Archaeology and Museums, Government of Rajasthan, Mr. Hridesh Sharma said that to attract more tourists, museums were increasingly being used as cultural motifs in the destination-tourism projects.

Amber Fort

The magnificent 16th century Amber Fort looks more fascinating with lights and fixtures in addition to additional security and a café to provide a fulfilling experience to the visitors.

The tourists can also enjoy riding a Segway scooter at Amber and Nahargarh forts, an add-on adventure feature, other than the elephant rides.

Vidyadhar Garden

The 350-year-old Vidyadhar Park of the city has been revamped with sparkling yellow and blue lights, water harvesting system, lush green garden, plantation near walls and beautiful fountains.

Ever since the monuments were opened for night viewing, the segment has attracted 12.2 lakh footfalls. Cultural performances at Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort and Albert Hall has made the experience more vibrant, he added.

Historical gates like Sanganeri gate, New gate, Ajmeri gate, Tripolia gate, Chandpole gate and the main markets in the walled city like Chaura Rasta, Tripolia Bazaar and Johri Bazaar have also been added to the night tourism plan.
