Rahul begins Rajasthan poll campaign

Jaipur, Aug 11: Congress president Rahul Gandhi here today launched the election campaign in Rajasthan taking on a 13-km road show through city centre amidst massive, waving crowds.

He is set to address scores of party leaders and workers who have gathered from across the state and leaders from every district at the Ramlila ground in Jaipur.

According to AICC general secretary Avinash Pande, Rahul is likely to dwell on the roadmap and strategy for the upcoming Assembly polls as Rajasthan happens to be a crucial state for the party.

Rahul was welcomed at over 14 points from Jaipur airport to Ramlila ground. Congress workers on motorcycles have been asked to wear helmets during the three-hour road show.

He is set to address the party workers at 4;30 pm.
